Russian culture abroad: Russian Centers of Science and Culture to open in South Ossetia and Abkhazia
Russian Centre of Science and Culture is to open in South Ossetia, Tskhinvali, before the end of 2011. By the same date, the Russian Center of Science and Culture will be opened in the capital of Abkhazia - Sukhumi.
Relevant instructions are available on the website of the government. The establishment of these centers is stipulated by intergovernmental agreements, the document says. The cost for the opening and maintenance of Russian Centers of Science and Culture in South Ossetia and Abkhazia are paid starting in 2011, from budgetary allocations. Government’s instruction directs the Foreign Ministry of Russia, Ministry of Finance and Rossotrudnichestvo provide for these funds while forming a draft federal budget for the next fiscal year and planning period.
