World languages: 15th International theoretical and practical conference “French language and culture of France in Russia in 21st century” in Nizhny Novgorod

September 27-28 2011 Dobrolyubov State Linguistic University of Nizhny Novgorod is holding 15th International theoretical and practical conference “French language and culture of France in Russia in 21st century”.

The conference is focused on the modern studies in the area of French linguistics, French literature, interaction and reciprocal influence of cultures of Russia and France, theoretical and practical problems of cross-cultural communication. The conference will also touch upon the latest approaches in teaching French language and culture at specialized and non-specialized universities and secondary schools.

The conference is co-organized by Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.

The international component of the “Year of citizen Minin in Nizhny Novgorod Region” became “Kuzma Minin and Joan of Arc. Historical parallels” unveiled at the opening of the conference.

The conference has attracted lecturers, teachers, postgraduates and students. The geography of conference participants is very broad: these are far abroad countries (France, Great Britain and Finland) and over 30 cities of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Voronezh, Yaroslavl, Izhevsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yakutsk, Ulan-Ude, Belgorod etc), representatives of the leading universities of Russia.
