Book publishing and distribution: VIII Interregional Festival on Books and Reading Promotion “Autumn in Mikhailovskoye”

14-16 September 2011 in Pushkin Mountains village, the Pskov region, will be held the VIII Interregional Festival on Books and Reading Promotion “Autumn in Mikhailovskoye”.

The organizer of the festival is the Pskov Regional Universal Academic Library, with financial support from the Pskov Region State Committee on Culture and the A. S. Pushkin State Culture Preserve "Mikhailovskoye".

Pskov Regional Universal Academic Library has been holding the festival in the Pushkin Mountains village, the Pskov region, since 2004. Annually the events are attended by: the heads of the culture institutions, publishers, writers, social scientists, librarians, experts from different regions of Russia. Over the years the festival has been attended by more than 1, 000 participants from 70 Russian regions, CIS and Baltic countries.

For the first time the festival will be attended by the chief editor of Ptz journal (Petrozavodsk), Deputy Chief Editor of the "Russian World" anthology (St. Petersburg), a delegation of librarians from the Smolensk region, representatives of the Russian State Children Library (Moscow), libraries of Kirov, Rostov, Kaluga, Vologda regions.
