IT and Authority: “Information Society. eState. eGovernment” National Forum opens in Moscow

The National Forum “Information Society. eState. eGovernment” is kicking off on October 25 2011 in Moscow. Highlights are the “Information Society Technologies” exhibition and the All-Russian Conference “21st Century Electronic State”.

The exhibition will showcase achievements in the area of building information society in regions of Russia. Participants of the exhibition include: Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, Komi Republic, Republic of Khakassia, Republic of Tatarstan, Murmansk Region, Kursk Region, Kaluga Region etc.

The first day of the exhibition, Oct. 25, will see the plenary session of “21st Century Electronic State” conference, which will bring together members of the Chief Designers Council for Regional Informatization, heads of regional IT departments, and federal authorities.

Among central themes on the agenda of the plenary session are: “eGovernment. Introduction in Regions: Reduction of Administrative Barriers, Optimization and Improvement of Quality of Provided Public and Municipal Services”; “eGovernment: Promotion of Integrated Public Services Portal”; “Cloud Technologies and eGovernment Services”; “Universal e-card. Security Problems. Strategy of Implementation”; “What can eGovernment Offer to Promote IT in Russia”; “Government Bodies on Internet. Problem of Data Publication by Government Officials”; “eGovernment: Russian and Foreign Model”. The plenary meeting will attract representatives of all regions of Russia.

The All-Russian Conference “21st Century Electronic State” will also mount a section on information security and a section on cloud computing.
