Libraries and education: XII International Theoretical and Practical Conference “Management in University Libraries” in Minsk

12 to 14 October 2011 in Minsk (Belorussia) takes place XII International Theoretical & Practical Conference “Management in University Libraries” marking the 90^th anniversary of foundation of the Belorussian State University Fundamental Library.

The topic of the year is “The role of university library in the development of information culture of 21^st century specialist”.

The basic thematic areas for organization of workshops, seminars, round tables and presentations within the conference are:

- Philosophic basis for libraries development in the age of information;

- Development of information culture of the future specialist in terms of the higher education;

- Use of information resources in education and scientific work;

- Vocational potential of personnel as a factor of university library development;

- E-libraries as an element of the modern informational and educational environment;

- Online technology in the development of informational culture;

- Provision of workbooks and guides to university libraries.
