Library Cooperation: International conference on interlibrary loan and document delivery launched in Moscow
The International Conference “Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery — Important Tool for Preservation and Development of Common Information and Cultural Space of CIS Member-States” is running November 23-25 2011 at the Russian State Library (Moscow).
The conference will address the following issues:
- Mutual deployment of library resources to ensure open data access.
- World information space and problems of access to world information resources.
- Interlibrary loan and document delivery as an integrated part of information and library services rendered to patrons.
- Involvement of new technologies to provide services to library’s remote users.
- Effectiveness and quality of interlibrary loan and document delivery services as a necessary condition for satisfying information demands of users.

- Electronic document delivery.
- Provision of data access: balance between user’s requirements and compliance with copyright.
- Cost of services and payment of expenses.
- Record keeping and statistics for interlibrary loan and document delivery.
- Legal aspects concerning operation of interlibrary loan and document delivery systems.
