Society and Culture: First International Forum “Preservation of Cultural Heritage” kicks off in Moscow

November 22-25 2011 the All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow is running the First International Forum “Preservation of Cultural Heritage”. For four days the All-Russian Exhibition Center will turn into a center for discussion of pressing issues associated with preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, generalization of practices of the Russian restoration school and foreign innovations, exchange of information on latest achievements and restoration industry trends.

An idea of holding such forum was backed by the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the State Duma Culture Committee, associations, public organizations and leading enterprises of this industry.

The unique feature of the forum is the combination of expositions and series of events of the business program which complement each other and favor fruitful cooperation between all representatives of this industry, as well as officials and representatives of business.

“Preservation of Cultural Heritage” Congress unites several significant events:

- Conference “Urgent Problems, Ways for Modernization and Prospects of Restoration Industry”.

- Theoretical and Practical Conference “Higher and Secondary Education in the field of Cultural Heritage Property Restoration. Modern State and Prospects of Development”.

- Plenary session of the Central Council of the All-Russian Society for Preservation of Historical and Cultural Monuments, celebrating its 45th foundation anniversary.
