Society and Church: Photo exhibition “Orthodox Baku and More” kicks off in Azerbaijan

On December 2nd 2011 the Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku is opening a photo exhibition “Orthodox Baku and More” which displays works by priest Dionysius Svechnikov.

Being an official photographer of Baku-Azerbaijan Diocese, priest Dionysius has spent several years taking photos of church services, church and public events, which take place in Baku, Moscow and other cities of Russia.

D. Svechnikov’s exhibition includes works which present the author’s view on festivities and everyday events which he finds important for the orthodox community. Particular place among displayed work occupy photographs of Baku – the city he loves and cares about so much.
