March 28, 2012 Google introduced to users a service of personal statistics. The current announcement appeared on the official blog of the corporation.

The service will generate monthly reports on user’s activity in some products of Google. For example, for Gmail it will be displayed the number of messages sent during the reporting period and the recipients who were delivered the most number of messages and other information as well.

Except Gmail, the service includes the search engine, YouTube videohosting and geolocation service Latitude. To add the statistics you can use the settings or do it by going to a special page.

After that Google will send a link to a monthly report. The corporation emphasizes that the provided information will allow you to know, for example, if you got an access to the hacker’s account or not. To do this the user will have to check the list of cities and browsers from which the account was logged in. In case a suspicious activity is detected, Google recommends changing the password.

The reports can be made for any period of time. At the same time the user can remove them. When turning on the service a message that the first report will be ready in a few days displays.
