Copyright: “Modern Stage of the Intellectual Property Legislation Development” round table in Moscow

March 22, 2012 the Russian Authors' Society and the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property are holding a roundtable discussion on the "Modern Stage of intellectual Property Legislation Development."

The formation of an effective national innovation system in Russia is the primary condition for the transferring of its economy to the path of innovation and technological development, which is impossible without the creation of intellectual property market on the basis of progressive legislation. However, a number of issues relating to copyright is still unresolved.

The relevance of the roundtable has been identified by: the need to discuss the planned changes to legislation, the state strategy for the protection of intellectual property, current problems in the field of copyright and the search for options to solve them.

The round table, organized by the Russian Society of Authors and the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property is attended by scientists, experts, journalists and business representatives.

The round table will include a presentation of the "Copyright", new journal established by RGAIS and RAO. This interdisciplinary edition has been designed to publish articles relating to various areas of public knowledge (economics, law, management, etc.) under the common theme - a wide range of issues related to intellectual property. "Copyright" is to not only emphasize the high importance of safety and protection of intellectual property, but also promote the formation of the relevant scientific school.
