IT and Church: Virtual tours to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem now available

Virtual tours to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Church of the Resurrection) in Jerusalem along with comments in English, Italian, Spanish and French are now available on its website, the Italian SIR agency reports.

The virtual pilgrimage was initiated by Franciscan monks, who are commissioned by Vatican to take care of churches of the Holy Land. They are going to webcast Easter divine services at the Church of the Resurrection for the first time.

Introduction of new services on the website of the greatest Christian shrine has become the initial stage for running such virtual pilgrimage tours in other churches of the Holy Land. Monks say that in the near future such opportunities will be provided on websites of churches in Capernaum, Gethsemane, Bethlehem and Nazareth.
