The Museum of the first expedition to define more precisely the place of Battle on the Ice opened April 22, 2012 in the village of Samolva, Gdov District (Pskov Region) in the year of the 50th anniversary of the end of the expedition and the 770th anniversary of the victory of Russian troops over the German knights on the Peipus.
