International events: “Cities and Faces” Exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in the South India

In the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Chennai (India), as a part of the "Culture – a Bridge between the Countries," project opened an exhibition "Cities and Faces" dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in South India and organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo Mission jointly with the Photography Academy.

The exhibition features art photographs, documenting the history and architecture of ancient Indian temples, located in Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. The authors of the works are well-known photographer Yuri Sysoev, residing in India for almost 10 years, and a graduate of the Photography Academy Shankar Adisesh.

Opening the exhibition, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Mission in India B. Mariy outlined the symbolism of the coincidence of the launch of a new trend in the activities of the cultural center (the first joint exhibition) with the 50th anniversary of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation.

The exhibition has attracted interest not only among professionals but also of representatives of other areas of fine arts.
