
Information technology and archives: Digitized archival documents marking the 200th anniversary of the Treaty of Bucharest go online
May 28, 2012, on the 200th anniversary of the conclusion of the Bucharest Peace Treaty 16 (28) May 1812, the Federal Archival Agency published online the Collection of electronic images of archival documents, with a foreword by leading researcher of the "Russia in International Relations" Centre of the Institute of Russian History under the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of History Elena P. Kudryavtseva.
The featured documents from the collections of Military Science Archive, personal decrees and emperor’s orders given to the Senate highlight the history of the conclusion of peace between the Russian and Ottoman empires, which put the end to the Russian-Turkish war of 1806-1812, the preparation and holding of talks, the terms of the agreement.
