Information technology and society: “Communication Days 2012” in Kazan

12 May 2012

"Communication Days 2012" are held in Kazan on 12-13 May 2012. "Communication Days" is a festival that brings together all those who produce, transmit, store and use information. The choice of dates is not accidental - May 7 is the "Radio Day", May 17 – the "World Day of Telecommunications and Information Society."

"Kazan has been selected the capital of the Days, because today Tatarstan has something to brag about, and some experience to share with other regions - above all, I mean the spread and accessibility of electronic government services. It is Kazan to have all the conditions for the development of telecommunications, and we are confident that this is a decent start for the future", said the director of "Russian Signalers Club”, Ilya Malkov.

One of the important tasks of the Communication Days is education. On the festival’s platforms volunteers will be ready to explain certain nuances of modern technology, to talk about initiatives related to access to legal information and government services. Another important issue is the fight against illicit and illegal content on the Internet. In total, the forum will be attended by more than ten thousand members of the youth communication community and cyber voluntary policemen.
