Memory of Russia: Festival of the historical reconstruction of the early Middle Ages “Epic Coast - 2012” held in the Tver region

A festival of the historical reconstruction of the early Middle Ages “Epic Coast -2012” took place in the Tver town Kimry.

"Epic coast" is one of Russia's largest festivals of historical reconstruction, dedicated to the culture and traditions of the Old Russian state and the Scandinavian nations, as well as the establishment at those times of the Volga trade route.

This year's "Epic Coast" gathered about 600 participants from nearly 80 clubs of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and other Russian cities, as well as neighboring countries, visitors from EU countries. The program presented leagues clubs, demonstration performances, horseback stunts, fencing tournament, workshops of craftsmen, and popular lectures on archeology.
