Internet resources: Google Gets Scientific, Adds a Voice-Enabled 34-Button Calculator to Desktop and Mobile Search
Google Company has built a full-fledged scientific calculator with 34 buttons in its world's largest online search engine.
Earlier, Google’s search bar provided opportunity to make calculations. User could enter a desired data and get the answer on top of search results.
Now, however, the result is displayed on the virtual scientific calculator, which appears between the search bar and the search results. The option is available both from desktop and mobile browsers, and includes a voice search.
In addition to usual numbers and symbols, Google’s new calculator also has a number of mathematical functions that usually make part of the scientific calculators. In the mobile version of the service, trigonometric and other functions of the calculator are displayed when the screen is switched to the horizontal mode.
In the Russian-language Google domain, this function does not work, but it can be checked by entering, for example, the British Page google.co.uk. Most probably, engineer calculator will gradually be included in the search engines around the world.
This is not the first Google’s tool to facilitate the solution of mathematical problems through a search engine. In December last year the company added to the search results on its website interactive graphs of mathematical functions.
