The History of Russia abroad: Photo exhibition “Order of the Russian Empire” opened in Phnom Pehn

July 2, 2012 at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) was held the opening of photo exhibition "Order of the Russian Empire", dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the origin of the Russian statehood.

The exhibition features photographs insignia of the Russian Empire of the XVII - XIX centuries. Among them there are the original images of Heroes Awards of the Patriotic War of 1812, including decorations (soldier's cross of St. George) with a moire ribbon, established in 1807 - Nadezhda Durova, the famous woman-lancers, who was awarded with it. Exhibition is complemented by portraits and photographs of the Russian monarchs, as well as documents of 1812.

The exhibition runs till August 30, 2012.
