Internet and legislation: All the laws go online in Belarus
In Belarus from July 1 any law, posted in the Internet, becomes legally effective from the moment of its publication. Documents go to the special portal “pravo.ru”, which belongs to the National Centre of Legal information - www.ncpi.gov.by.
“The Internet today is available almost to everyone. It is the most democratic source of information today. According to the law, the database, which will be published in the Internet and at the web site “portal.ru” from July 1, can be accessed from every place of the world. Moreover, the document, which appears to be at the web site, will match the original”, said the deputy head of the presidential administration Valery Mickiewicz.
The laws will be in parallel published in official editions of the country, as well as to be published in the form of booklets and books.
