History and culture: Special volume of Biblio Chronicle, dedicated to the Patriotic War of 1812 is released

The next volume of the unique in Russia edition Biblio Chronicle was released. The work on this book has been lasted for 12 years already. It has been a bibliographical rarity before the presentation. All three hundred copies have already painted in universities, libraries and collectors.

The new fourth volume is entirely dedicated to the Patriotic War of 1812. The folio contains a description of 109 rare printed documents on the subject. It starts with the first printed in Russia biography of Napoleon. The edition allows seeing events through the eyes of the War of 1812 both Russian, and French. Under one cover was also a unique map that "Moscow, burnt by fire", and the French flyer of 1815, in which the prefect of a department of the residents reported the residents about Napoleon's abdication in favor of his son Napoleon II.

“The books are collected in chronological order and allow tracing the evolution of the country”, - says the editor, collector Aleksey Ivanov. – “Through the books are described fates, fates of publishers, authors, and all the conflicts, which have accompanied these books”.
