Information technology and society: Microsoft Corporation has changed its logo

The world's largest software developer, the corporation Microsoft, announced the change of its logo, used since 1987.

The new logo influenced the style based on simple geometric forms and typography used in the interface in the latest operating systems of mobile devices and personal computers. This style in preparation called Windows 8 Metro, but recently Microsoft abandoned the term.

For the first time in the company's logo, in addition to its name, there are additional elements: four squares of red, green, blue and yellow colors, which are combined into one large square.

It is noteworthy that in the first years of its existence, Microsoft changed the logo quite often: from 1975 to 1987, the group changed four logos. The last one was used by the corporation for 25 years.

In the beginning if the year, the corporation also introduced the new logo, which would hit the market with a new version of the operating system for PCs and Windows 8 tablets. Instead of color of the logo "flag" will be used simpler one-color logo.
