History of Saint-Petersburg: Interactive exhibition “In Search of Peter”, dedicated to the 230th anniversary of the installation of “The Bronze Horseman”

August 21, 2012 at the State Museum of Urban Sculpture (Saint-Petersburg) has opened an interactive exhibition "In Search of Peter", dedicated to the 230th anniversary of the installation of "The Bronze Horseman".

On August 2012 Saint-Petersburg celebrates the 230th anniversary of the opening of "The Bronze Horseman". The monument, created by French sculptor Etienne Maurice Falconet, became a symbol of the city.

This enigmatic monument of the past and the present is dedicated to an interactive exhibition "In Search of Peter" in the Museum of Urban Sculpture. At the exhibition you may: as a result of the experiment to understand why the monument is not falling, to invent "a car to transport the rock, which has become a pedestal", to learn how to perform the restoration of "The Bronze Horseman" and even to go inside the large layout of the monument.
