Russian libraries: Inter-regional conference “Scientific libraries of Russia: A look to the future” to take place in Novosibirsk

September 26-28, 2012 the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk) holds in Novosibirsk (in Akademgorodok) the Inter-regional conference on the general problems of research libraries "Scientific Library of Russia: A Look to the future".

The aim of the conference is a comprehensive discussion of problems in key areas of information and library activities in the region. It is suggested to discuss the following topics:

- Electronic systems of scientific communications and libraries;

- Recent trends and perspectives of the development of the book culture;

- The activity of scientific libraries in the context of changes in the scientific and educational sphere;
