Exhibitions: Project “Hellas – a vision of my dreams” in Saint-Petersburg
Project exhibitions “Hellas – a vision of my dreams” are held at the Central Exhibition Hall “Manege” from August 2 till September 3, 2012.
A large-scale and diverse artistic material project - "Hellas - a vision of my dreams" is organized in the framework of celebration of the 10th anniversary of the cultural cooperation between sister-cities of Saint-Petersburg and Thessaloniki and includes three exhibitions.
The exhibition "The Art of Greece of the end of the XIX - XX centuries. Three generations of artists" is presented by the Municipal Gallery of Thessaloniki. Two other projects by the famous Saint-Petersburg artists are inspired with the spirit of Hellas, and are imbued with motifs and aesthetics of the Great Greece – these are exhibitions "My Tavrida" and "Parallel Worlds".
A Municipal Gallery of Thessaloniki for the first time opens its doors to the Russian audience. More than 100 Greek writers on the example of 150 paintings and graphic works present us the art of Greece over the past two centuries - from the 1890s to the 2000s.
