Library cooperation: Forum of CIS librarians “Commonwealth Libraries: Integration, Innovation and Access for Everybody” in Kazakhstan

Forum of CIS librarians "Commonwealth Libraries: Integration, Innovation and Access for Everybody" is taken place in the framework of the year "Astana - the cultural capital of the Commonwealth" on September 26-27, 2012 in Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the forum is to strengthen and expand cross-cultural and library relations of the Commonwealth countries and the presentation of Astana as the library capital in 2012.

The forum has invited the Director of national libraries of the CIS, managers and leading specialists of Kazakhstan libraries, as well as representatives of the Ministries of Culture of the Commonwealth countries, international organizations (UNESCO, IFESCCO, TURKSOY, IFLA, and BAE).

In the framework of the Forum is taken place the seminar on “Formation of library funds in the industrial and innovative development of Kazakhstan”.
