Exhibitions: Works of German artists of the turn of the 19th – 20th centuries displayed in St. Petersburg within the Year of Germany in Russia
September 21, 2012, the State Hermitage Museum presents "Paula Modersohn-Becker and Worpswede Artists. Drawings and Prints of 1895-1906" exhibition prepared by the State Hermitage Museum jointly with the Goethe Institute in St. Petersburg and the Institute for Relations with Foreign Countries. The exhibition is held within the "Year of Germany in Russia and the Year of Russia in Germany 2012". The exhibition, which displays over sixty drawings and prints by Paula Modersohn-Becker and her colleagues from Worpswede as well as documentary photographs telling about their life, reveals one of the most striking pages of German art of the late 19th – early 20th centuries.
Scientific illustrated catalog (State Hermitage Publishing House, 2012) has been created for the exhibition.
