World history: Theoretical and Practical Conference, “1150th anniversary of formation of the Old Russian state: History and Geopolitics” in Sevastopol

September 14, 2012 In Sevastopol is taking place the Theoretical and Practical Conference, "1150th anniversary of the Old Russian state: History and Geopolitics." The forum is to discuss the historical experience of the East Slavic state.

The conference is attended by Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian historians, political scientists, experts in geopolitics and political geography, public figures, politicians, and media representatives. In particular, Director of Ethno-Social Research Center, the Vernadsky National University of Tauride, Anatoly Filatov, will lecture on "The Russian World in the situation of global historical challenges".

During the event, there will be a "round table" discussion about the place of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in the current geopolitical system of the world and the possibility of joint responses to global challenges.
