September 1, 2012, in the framework of the celebration of the Day of Moscow, in the urban estate of Khrushchev-Seleznyovy opened an exhibition of the State Pushkin Museum, dedicated to the Moscow Street Prechistenka.
The exposition "Prechistenka Street and its inhabitants" will introduce visitors to the history of the famous street.
The project involves more than 20 Russian and Moscow museums, archives, organizations and private collectors. A special attention is paid to the unique archival materials - original documents, maps and plans of Moscow, autographs and manuscripts, the earliest of which date back to the XVII century, as well as material of witnesses of the history of Prechistenka – items of era and works of art that once were on the street.
Visitors can see rare portraits of historical figures, home decoration, famous museum collections, which "lived" on the street and have never been exhibited before. For example, the Polytechnical Museum will show 25 items of the I Polytechnic Exhibition, hosted by the beginning of the XX century at Prechistenka 7, in the former estate of Vsevolozhskye.
