
Languages of the world: Exhibitions, dedicated to the Seasons of French language and literature, in Saint-Petersburg
October 26, 2012 the new building of the National Library of Russia (Saint-Petersburg) opened two exhibitions, dedicated to the Seasons of the French language and literature in Russia.
The exposition "The greatest wealth of the people - its language", prepared by the Center for Cultural Programs of the NLR and the Foundation of the group processing libraries are presented educational and training materials on the French language, dictionaries, phrasebooks, and reference books. Among the exhibits of publication: "French and Russian Talks in the form of sketches for the Russian and French Youth" (1898), "Russian-French talks. Travel companion in France" (1911), "The reform of the French spelling" (1901).
The exposition “The French classics. Editions of the XX-XIX centuries” presents a wide spectrum of works of the classics of the French literature from Francois Rabelais (XVI) to Francoise Sagan (XX). According to organizers, the rich heritage of the French literature is fundamental in the education of a human-being in the XXI century.
Exhibitions will work till November 14.
