Internet Company Google changes the design of the web page with the results of its search service, moving the search filters and navigation tools to the panel on top of search results, according to a corporate blog Google.

The company began testing the new look of the page with the search results in July. According to developers, the purpose of updating the interface was "creation of a single experience of interaction with the search service on a variety of devices and screens of different sizes".

Originally updates dealt with Google search applications for tablets and smart phones, the company is now beginning to enter the same interface in the Web version of its search service.

Until now, navigation tools, allowing searching, for example, only by the images, maps, blogs, and so on, were located on the left panel of the search page. There housed search filters with which you can use to adjust the time frame or the search language.

In the framework of the new interface, these functions are transferred to the panel on top of the SERPs. Some of the default settings are hidden, but they can be deployed in the drop down menu by clicking on the "Search Tools".

The semantic search function Knowledge Graph was launched by Google this May. Technology Semantic web search differ from traditional keyword search that allows the search engine to read a user's query in natural language and to give a straight answer to the question.

The new design of the web search page of Google will initially be available to customers in the U.S., but with the lapse of time the company will launch it in other countries.
