Memory of Russia: Monument to Stolypin opens in Moscow

The monument to the outstanding state and political figure of the Russian Empire Pyotr Stolypin will open on December 27, 2012 near the House of Government of Russia in Moscow. The installation of the monument is timed to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Russian reformer, which is celebrated this year. 

As reported in the capital Construction Department, the height of the monument will exceed ten meters. The author of the monument is People’s artist of Russia Salavat Scherbakov. Workers of the studio where the monument was manufacturing, tries to accurately display in the sculpture features of Stolypin, as well as clothes of pre-revolutionary period.
