History of Russia: Exhibition of rare Soviet posters in Moscow

At the Petrovsky Passage in Moscow on 24 January 2013 opened the exhibition of rare Soviet posters, dedicated to the anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist propaganda, from the private collection.
The exhibition’s title was given by one of the posters – “Death of world capital”. Sergei Gregorian shared his collection – it counts more than two thousand of examples. Anti-capitalist poster in the printed graphics was the main genre of the early years of the revolution almost to the time when the USSR ceased to exist. The exposition features original works among which are famous “Windows of ROSTA” by Vladimir Mayakovski, posters of the Civil War, as well as later ones created in 1980s.
