Libraries of Russia: Exhibition of the best woks of the last year, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the Pskov regional library, in Pskov

The exhibition of the best books of the last year opens on January 9, 2013 in the Pskov regional universal research library. The new exposition opens a series of events, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the founding of the Pskov regional provincial library.

The exhibition presents publications received to the Pskov Research Library holdings in 2012. Totally - more than 700 of the most interesting and relevant books, reference books, textbooks, manuals, scientific publications, memoirs and popular literature, including in electronic form.

This exhibition collects the most interesting books for fans of fascinating reading. Among them there are many new items on the history, as the past year has been declared the Year of Russian history. Of particular interest are books dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

In 2012 the Russians celebrated a big anniversary – the 200th anniversary of the Patriotic war of 1812. The Book Fair section, dedicated to this date, presents books and periodicals, as well as monographs, materials of scientific conferences, memoirs, reference and bibliographic tools on anniversaries, events, heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812, as well as the study of Russian and foreign historians dedicated to the relations between Russia and France in the early XIX century.

Also there are presented materials, telling about the history of the government in Russia at different stages of its development.
