January 5, 2013 in the cells of Arhimandrite of Kirillo-Belozersky Museum Reserve opens an exhibition dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the Election Day to the Russian throne of the first king of the Romanovs - Mikhail Fedorovich.

The history of Kirillo-Belozersky monastery, as one of the largest monasteries in Russia, for almost the entire period of the monastery is closely linked to the history of the royal dynasty. Representatives of the house of Romanov have repeatedly visited the monastery itself, and the town of Kirillov. Monastic inventory and other documents tell of the contributions made by them to the monastery. Some of these things are stored in the museum holdings, many of which are represented in the new exhibition.

It reflects the reign of Mikhail Fedorovich and Alexei Mikhailovich, era of Peter, the reign of Catherine the Great, Alexander I, Nicholas I and the last representatives of the dynasty. Another section is dedicated to the construction of an important region for the development of the object – the Mariinskaya water system, which was launched under Paul I.

Among the unique exhibits, which can be seen at the exhibition are chair, made by well-known church reformer Patriarch Nikon being in exile, first in the Ferapontov monastery, and later in the Kirillo-Belozersky monastery.
