Russian culture abroad: Rossotrudnichestvo to hold days and weeks of culture of Russia in 15 countries

By Rossotrudnichestvo it is created the Council to promote the national culture abroad and the Council to support and promote the cultural heritage abroad. Together with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation it is finalized and confirmed the schedule of the holding abroad days and weeks of culture of Russia in 15 countries, as well as the tour schedule of federal and art groups.

One of the most important instruments to preserve the Russian language and the Russian cultural presence abroad is the support of the existing chain of Russian theatres in the CIS. In order to develop this direction it is reasonable to create the concept of support and development of Russian theatres in the CIS and Baltic states.

By 2013 Rossotrudnichestvo together with partnership organizations prepared and sent abroad the set of electronic thematic exhibitions on 5 foreign languages “Memorable dates of the Russian history in 2013”.

Together with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation are planned round tables and workshops with actors and directors in France (performances), Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Czech Republic. In Germany and France are planned meetings with V. V. Tereshkova.

A special event will take place in the representative office of Rossorudnichestvo in Kazakhstan (Almaty): in accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation on creation of the Association of art and cultural workers of Russia and Kazakhstan within the celebration of the 150th anniversary of K. S. Stanislavsky there will be held the round table of art and cultural workers of Russia and Kazakhstan, the main topic of which will be the discussion of issues of the Association.

Rossotrudnichestvo together with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM Russia) is involved in the training of the International Museum Festival “Intermuseum-2013”.  

The program of creation in the representative agencies abroad of information and educational centers “Virtual branch of the State Russian Museum” (available in 9 RCSC) and electronic reading rooms of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library (available 12 RCSC) is implemented. In 2013 it is planned to create 10 new virtual branches of the Russian Museum and reading rooms of the Presidential Library.

In 2013 it is planned to continue the successful practice of a large-scale events of Rossotrudnichestvo in the format of “cross-years”. The main elements of the program as part of the Year of Russia in the Netherlands include such major actions as the International Student Forum, the International Children’s Forum “The world is ours”, the Festival of National Culture “Constellation of Russia”, dedicated to the Day of Russia.
