Memorable dates of Russia: The 200th anniversary of the birth of composer Alexander Dargomyzhsky is celebrated
The anniversary of the outstanding composer Alexander Dorgomyzhsky – the 200th anniversary of the birth – is celebrated on February 14 in Russia and abroad.
Alexander Sergeyevich Dargomyzhsky (1813-1869), the Great Russian composer, pianist, violinist, teacher of singing, one of the founders of Russian classical music, master of vocal miniatures, was born on February 14.
To mark the occasion from February 7 to 16 in Vyazma and the Vyazma region are held themed events.
The scientific-practical conference dedicated to the life and work of Dargomyzhsky took place, and on February 13 in the Vyazemsky Historical-Local history museum opened the exhibition to the anniversary of the composer.
Also in the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan) opened the exhibition in honor of the 200th anniversary of Alexander Dargomyzhsky. The collection includes books, monographs about the life and work of the composer. In addition, you can hear the recorded music of his works.
In the homeland of the composer, in Tula, took place the concert with the participation of soloists of the best theaters in Russia.
On February 16, in the Estonian Parnu it will be held a literary-musical program “A. S. Dargomyzhsky, to the 200th anniversary of the birth” from the cycle “History of Russian culture in faces” organized by educational and developmental center Järeleaitaja with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
