President of Russia: 2012 President's Prize for Young Cultural Professionals

March 25, 2013 Vladimir Putin awarded the 2012 President's Prize for Young Cultural Professionals.

The awarding ceremony was held in the presence of members of the Presidential Council for Culture and the Art, which introduce to the head of state the candidates to receive this prestigious award. Decree “On awarding prizes of the President of the Russian Federation for young cultural figures of 2012” was signed by Vladimir Putin on March 15.

The annual Award of the President, which, according to the regulation on the award is the highest recognition of merit of young cultural workers to the society and the state, are awarded: a chief bibliographer at the Shishkov Altai Regional Research Library’s Local History Department Olga Malyshko, actress Julia Peresild and expert in the field of protection of monuments Eugene Sosedov.

The President Award is given to Russian citizens for the creation of works of talented writers and artists, implementation of creative research projects, which are a significant contribution to the culture of the Russian Federation. Annually are awarded three prizes of 2.5 million rubles.
