World culture: The Fair of Fine Arts TEFAF opened in the Netherlands

In Maastricht (the Netherlands) from March 15-24, 2013 is held the Fair of Fine Arts TEFAF.

The exhibition presents a wide range of works of art from around the world - about 30 thousand objects of different ages and countries. Among the authors of paintings - Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Diego Velasquez, Domenico Tintoretto, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Jan Brueghel the Elder, Fernand Leger, Gustave Courbet, Claude Monet. Sculptures by Auguste Rodin and Henry Moore, an impressive collection of jewelry - both vintage and modern are also presented.

A unique work from Russia, for example, the landscape of Ivan Shishkin “Sandy Beach” is presented. Dated 1879 the canvas is the property of the American company art-dealer.

Among other unique products from Russia, represented at the Fair TEFAF - a silver bucket, presented by Elizabeth I to Chieftain Dmitry Stepanov, and a created approximately in 1600 a silver cup from the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius.

Also in the pavilions of the Fair of 31 thousand square km you can see Russian icons, jewelry, including antique porcelain, books and manuscripts.
