Russian regions: Exhibition, timed to the 100th anniversary of Society for the study of the Kama region, in Udmurtia

The Museum of History and Culture of the Kama region (Sarapul, Udmurtia) opened the exhibition “Diagnosis: ethnographer. Doctor F. V. Streltsov”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Society for the Study of the Kama region and the 135th anniversary of the birth of Fyodor Vasilievich Streltsov - a man with an amazing destiny - a doctor, a member of the World War I, a public figure, local historian and one of the founders of the Sarapul Museum and the Society for the Study of the Kama region.

The exhibition includes photographs, personal belongings and documents reflecting the main stages of life of F. V. Streltsov, items brought by him from the front lines of the World War I: German helmet, backpack, raspirator.

The new exhibition “Diagnosis: ethnographer. Doctor F. V. Streltsov” confirms that the local history material left by F. V. Streltsov - is the foundation of the museum collections, archaeological discoveries, and ethnographic knowledge, new research and achievements.

The exhibition will run till May 2013.
