Internet and society: The Association of Internet users created in Russia

In Russia started its work the Association of Russian Internet users (AIU), which task will be to protect the rights and freedoms of people, as well as defending their interests.

The AIU plans to defend, in particular, such rights of Internet users, as Internet access, non-discrimination of “Internet rights”, the principle of net neutrality, freedom and security, the right for the development of the Internet, freedom of opinion and expression, freedom of association.

The organization will deal with data protection, access to knowledge and cultural values ​​through the Internet, the use of it by children and the right to distance education, the right to a remote work, and participation in Internet governance.
