
History and culture: Museum holiday “Easter” in Tomsk
April 29 to May 15, 2013, as a part of the cycle "Calendar ritualism of Russians in Siberia," the Center of Ethnography of the Russian population of Siberia (Tomsk) is holding museum holiday "Easter".
The Center of Ethnography of the Russian population of Siberia presents to Tomsk citizens and visitors the traditions of one of the most revered holidays in Christendom. Visitors of the "Easter at the Museum" program will have an opportunity to take an active part in traditional games and ceremonies, master-classes.
The main stage of the holiday is the halls of the exhibition "Traditional clothing of the Russian population of Tomsk Province" (from the life of Russians in Siberia).
The main purpose of the holiday is to introduce Tomsk citizens and visitors to the city to the culture of Russian Siberia and education of the festive culture of Russians.
