Memory of Russia: The III Russian Hanseatic Days in Pskov

July 19-21, 2013 in Pskov are held the III Russian Hanseatic Days within the celebration of the anniversary Day of the city and on the eve of the 1110th anniversary of the first mention of Pskov in the annals.

The festivities will start on July 19 from the Hanseatic Fair in the Botanical Garden. The solemn opening of Russian Hanseatic Days will be held in Green Theatre.

The deputy chief of the city department of culture Marina Grinevich also noted: in spite of the fact that the main events will be held in Pskov, near Vybuty will be held a traditional Festival of historical reconstruction “Helga”, which also became a part of the overall festival program.

On Saturday, July 20, as part of the Russian Hanseatic Days it will be held a series of performances on the main stages of the festive space. On the territory of the site “Dityachya settlement” townspeople and visitors can learn about the traditions of Pskov crafts, see the choirs of Staraya Ladoga and Saint-Petersburg. This day will also be held the extinction of postage stamps to mark the 1110th anniversary of Pskov.

The interactive program is provided for the youth.

On Sunday, July 21, at the Green Theatre will be held an entertainment program “Brands of Pskov”, where local producers will present their products.

On the same day it will be held the closing of the Hanseatic Days and the ceremony of transfer of the symbolic keys and the flag to the next host of the Hanseatic Days - Kingisepp.
