Exhibitions: The art exhibition “Great Volga-XI”, dedicated to the anniversary of the city, opened in Perm

July 11 in the exhibition center “The Perm Fair” was opened the regional art exhibition “Great Volga-XXI” dedicated to the 290th anniversary of Perm.

The exhibition is attended by 13 offices VTOO “Union of Russian Artists” of the Volga Federal District: from Izhevsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Kazan, Saransk, Samara, etc.

“The exhibition features 1040 works of painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative arts and folk art, decorative art. 59 artists are declared from the Perm region”, - said the chairman of the Perm branch of the Union of Artists of Russia Ravil Ismagilov.

The last exhibition of this scale took place in Perm in 1967, when the Perm Branch VTOO “Union of Artists of Russia” was included in the region “Ural”.

The exhibition “Great Volga” was visited by residents of Kazan - it was presented in three exhibition venues. The exhibition will be closed in October 2013 in Yoshkar-Ola. “The Best of the exhibition will be presented in the Central House of Artists. The aim of the exhibition - to show the inhabitants of towns PFD the classical art of the Volga region, educate the younger generation artistic taste”, - said the chairman of the Union of artists of Russia Andrei Kovalchuk.

The exhibition will run till August 11 in Perm.
