
History of Russia: Exhibition, dedicated to the heritage of Russian military historian N. E. Brandenburg, in Saint-Petersburg
August 30, 2013 the Military-Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineer and Signal Corps (Saint-Petersburg) hosts the exhibition, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the death of N. E. Brandenburg – a talented Russian military historian, archaeologist, a member of the Russian Imperial Archaeological Society.
Since 1872 till his death N. E. Brandenburg was the head of the Artillery Museum. This person had extraordinary abilities and fundamental knowledge in many fields of the historical science. He set himself task to turn the museum into a truly scientific institution. He created a special archive and historical library; he published a systematical catalogue that increased the scientific significance of the museum. The collections have been enriched with many exhibits.
