History of Russia: The III International festival of medieval monastic culture “Rostov action”

August 23-25, 2013 the State Museum-Reserve “Rostov Kremlin” (the Yaroslavl region) hosts the III International Festival of medieval monastic culture “Rostov action”. The festival is held as part of the celebration of the 130th anniversary of the Rostov Kremlin.

The main purpose of the event is the revival of interest to the medieval culture and the best samples of the music art of that time.

In the days of the festival will be held the regular “Cathedral of the oldest cities in Russia”, which will discuss the role of cultural heritage in the development of tourism, there will be events dedicated to the 700th anniversary of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
