Society and reading: The Project “Days of Book Culture in the Khabarovsk Krai” started

August 20, 2013 for the first time in the Khabarovsk Krai started a large-scale information and educational project – “Days of Book Culture in the Khabarovsk Krai”. It aims at promoting of the best books of the Khabarovsk Krai, published in the past 5 years.

The cultural, educational platforms of municipalities in the framework of the Days of Book Culture will host a real celebration of the Khabarovsk book: in the municipal libraries will be open corners of the modern Khabarovsk books; they will host a series of presentations of new publishing projects, issued by the Government of the Khabarovsk Krai; the presentation of a new series of Far East literary fiction “Literary Heritage of Amur region”.

August 20 at the platform of the Peter Komarov Central City Library is opened a mobile book-illustrative exposition “The Best Books of the Khabarovsk Krai” from the collection of local history book collection of the Far Eastern State Research Library.

The highlight of the program will be the holding by the Krai action “E-book for everyone, or library in your pocket!”. Only one day in the institutions of culture and education every citizen of the city districts and settlements in the province will be able to get a gift the whole electronic library - up to 100 e-books of favorite writers of all genres - classical, contemporary prose, history and journalism.
