Information technology and society: Development of IT-technology in Russia discussed during the Russian Innovation Week in the USA

Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, Mark Shmulevich at the annual conference of Russian Innovation Week described the development of the Russian IT-education and the IT industry as a whole. The event was also attended by representatives of the Russian and American big business, governments and development institutions, venture investors and entrepreneurs in the field of high technologies.

Russian Innovation Week is a major international event of great importance for the Russian market innovation. This year the event was held under the auspices of the Working Group on Innovation-Russian Bilateral Presidential Commission and was held in Boston and Silicon Valley.

In his speech, Mark Shmulevich said: “The development of the IT industry has become a priority for the Russian government. The first papers in this direction have already been approved by the Government. At the same time, the device of the IT industry says that without international cooperation and access to global markets to maintain and increase the competitiveness of the domestic IT industry is almost impossible”.
