Exhibitions: History of military uniform presented in Moscow

In the building of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was presented a collection of the Museum of the history of military uniforms. The exhibition, entitled “The History of military uniforms from Peter I to the present day” is organized by the Cultural Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Among the unique exhibits - the form of the Life Guards of Preobrazhensky, Yegersky, Moscow regiments, uniforms samples of the XIX century, the form of the Soviet army from the 1920s until the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition presented fifteen suits, including prototypes made ​​today.

“We are convinced that the development of the military museum - the most important part of the patriotic education of citizens of modern Russia. It is gratifying that this important for the history of the national army museum by the recent order of the Russian Minister of Defence Sergei Shoigu has gained an official status and became a branch of the Museum of the Armed Forces. The Museum of the History of military uniforms, until recently, was in charge of the clothing service of the Armed Forces, it has its origin from the museum of the Chief Quartermaster’s management of the Imperial Army and the next year it will be 145 years old. For this event the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Defence is preparing a major exhibition in Moscow”, - told the representatives of the government.
