Internet and society: The main round of the contest on Internet resources "RUSSKOYE ZARUBEZHIE - 2013" started

On the first day of September has started the main round of the contest «RUССКОЕ ЗАRUБЕЖЬЕ — 2013», which is attended by Russian-speaking Internet resources created outside of Russia, as well as web sites in foreign languages ​​designed for learning Russian language. In the qualifying round, the contestants had to score at least 10 votes.  The main round included 84 participants from 131.

At the end of the main tour will be determined the "absolute winner of the popular vote". Also TOP-10 of web sites in each category will be formed. Of these, the advisory council of the contest will select the winners. The voting will continue until September 30.

The contest is organized by the informative internet portal "Tartu - Yuriev - Dorpat " together with the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC) .

The main objectives of the competition: the popularization of the Russian language, promoting of a positive image of Russia abroad, teh support of Russian-language media and information resources abroad, the formation of a single information Russian-speaking space abroad.
