The Memorable Dates of Russia: "The Great Son of Russia" exhibition to the 185th anniversary of the birth of Leo Tolstoy in Syktyvkar

On September 1, 2013, the National Library of the Komi Republic had opened "The Great Son of Russia" book exhibition dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding Russian writer and philosopher Leo Tolstoy.

The exhibition’s goal is draw a public’s attention to the work of the great writer, to help readers to deepen into the details of his life, as well as to get them acquainted with the literature, that one way or another related to the personality of Tolstoy.

The exhibition features over 50 publications covering creative path of the writer, the facts of his biography and his correspondence with the contemporaries, the critique reviews of Tolstoy’s work.

The disks, videotapes and rich illustrative material will be shown as well.

The exhibition will be working until September 12, 2013.
